That's what I am, your bargaining chip; your prim protégé who will genteelly flip you the bird; flip my lid, flip a smile. So demure! So polite! Every which while I'll be cursing the sight of your flawless facade; your deceitful creations. I'm the product, the love-child of your machinations. So go on, let's lie in our bed made of smiles. With each one I give I'm dying inside. Can I not just live without trying to hide? that I don't want to follow. I don't want to lead. Though you've drained me all hollow, I continue to bleed, bloody streams of regret that I let this go on for so long. Now I can't forget all the sins and the wrongs I was forced to commit by your steel-hardened hand, that I cursed and I bit as it gave me the brand of a bruise on my arm; on my face. You're the fear in the my dreams; my nightmares you grace. You're the source of my screams. It's freedom I crave as I beg and I plead, but still you deprave me and leave me to bleed. I know what I am: Your bargaining chip. Don't even try to deny it. Just quit. Nothing is more painful than realizing he meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to him. Whoa pretty deep and emotional...sometimes as we learn to forgive we relize that we actually allow ourselves out a prison that was stealing our joy.ww |

This was great. Really liked; 'So go on, let's lie in our bed made of smiles. With each one I give I'm dying inside.' And i also particularly enjoyed the first stanza. A lot to think about with this one. Nice write. (: |
