Just a poetry exercise I decided to do. I want a house with many rooms, Some small and some huge, With many doors and many walls That change color To fit my mood. I want a house without locks, In a neighborhood without the need Of a neighborhood watch, Without fences or gates Just a front yard With wide open space. I want a house filled with fish And guinea pigs that feed themselves, With a dog doing tricks And a cat chasing a mouse. I want a house that is me, With glistening lights In every room, With the simple beauty Of cherry blossoms Beginning to bloom. “All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling.”--Oscar Wilde |
