The Pain That Leaves Me Blind

I remember when you loved me.
We were young and time stood still.
I remember when life looked beautiful,
but nothing does and ever will.

Searching for the lost enchantment,
that you find in all you see.
I remeber all that you said to me...

And the pain rips through me everyday
and my hearts stops beating
each time I hear you say,
the words that you said
in my mind, in my head;
with goodbye echoing
drowning everything,

I'm still in love with you,
as I struggle through life
one day at a time.
I know you won't come through.
Our fate was sealed
the day you left me behind.
But somehow I will find the will to move,
through the pain that leaves me blind.

Now the days are getting better.
I can stand now on my own.
Because before this pain had found me,
I was childish, though full-grown.

And the pain rips through me everyday
its knife stabbing deeper
each time I hear you say
those words again;
in my head and then;
with good-bye echoing
drowning everything...

And my life goes,
and the time shows,
that life all around is nice.

I hope you're hurt too,
'Cause I loved you.
I trusted you,
and in the end I paid the price.

Because...
I'm still in love with you,
as I struggle through life,
one second at a time.
I know you won't come through.
