Dont forget to look up Its something everyone forgets to do You watch you back You watch your step You even look to see whats in front of you But you never look up Its like everyone Is so sure The the sky wont fall Maybe the chicken had it right The compass has four points And one of them points up Side to side Down Up I pretend not to be as paranoied as I am I even pretend that I dont loook for all the exits I go so far as to put my back to a door at times But only after I've put people Between it and me I look up I look up in buildings To check for windows Balconys And any other ares where people could hide I look up outside To make sure I'm not missing anyone Who might be watching. I watch my back I watch my step I even watch to make sure Im not walking into a trap And I always look up I still remember how many cealing tiles were in my hospital room I still remember the color of the sky The day I lost my best friend And I even remember how many lights were out In the hallway of the hotel room The night my ex hit me For the last time Dont forget to look up It could save your life Or you could at least see something beautiful I may be paranoied But it doesnt mean that I don't see beauty Sam Dragon 4/6/2011 Hard times Made writing seem impossible. But I'm back on the wagon again. |

beautiful i loved it im not new here but i write poems adn posted some in teen poetry but most of my poems are dark and i do love dark poetry  |

Thank you. Im not new here either but I went through a time of just not being able to write no matter how much I wanted. That time has obviously ended. Hard times Made writing seem impossible. But I'm back on the wagon again. |
