the pain, ignore the agony,
forget the suffering
and the
misery. That
is what you dare ask of me?
you
ask me
to abandon what
has made me... what I
am.
but...
what you
do not realize is that I
can't.
if you don't like what I
am then why do you even bother
with me?
I am my
pain,
my agony, my
misery, my
suffering.
if you don't like that,
screw you.
because I am
not changing.
I can't.

This is a piece I can relate to on many levels. People cheapen the pain they cause because they weren't the recipients. But they think you should just get over it and move along. Sorry, people, this is a part of me now (just as you say here in this poem), and I'm just a little different from before.
