Haven't written anything for a while, but here it goes. ***** So many of the brightest stars become aeroplanes, But this one I'll spend all my time gazing at- And feeling its warm glow bury itself inside, Pulsating and warm. I'm star struck. You could fall from the sky- And I'd push you inside, A demon I'd allow into body and mind- In control of me, but it's not voluntary. Our union the fault of horoscopes and Wasted time. But the chemistry is more than astrology. I like to think that. I shine as you burn me From inside. Singular star that pierced the clouds And I've cloud-watched enough- They've taken too much Superficial love, casting their rain upon my unknown cheeks. Though it's not all separate. And I fall from the sky As you push yourself inside My unused heart. I burn alive. Can't take my eyes off the danger. I just have to wait and watch this star And pray it's not an aeroplane. 'I feel like an animal, and I don't think that I get it. But one day I'll see you around.' |
