When has my heart not been frozen? On ice for eons it seems, I wonder aloud and I feel beset, are love's promises petrified dreams? Fearful not to be silent. Thinking too little too late.Destiny a term resented, but maybe this is my fate. To speak plainly aloud I'd only say this, open your heart love, send me your kiss. For perhaps I will thaw from this icy tomb, re-spun upon a gentle loom. When care in thought, and heart, and hands, renews and becomes recompense. |

I cannot help but chuckle inaudibly at the author leaving the rhyme scheme at the last here, I guess to the riddle of the future. This after I searched the work several times for a rhyme, or even for an assonance corespondlngly placed to "recompense". It's good you ran the lines together, Novus, as it makes that internal riddle more intense for any searching. Enjoyed. As for the subject, what can I say except if word comes to you from an unexpected source on such a matter, don't a priori shut it out. Please at least investigate... For time does hurry on. |

@easy1: I think I was at the point where I said, close enough. The word felt right. I imagine it rhymes. =) Sort of...? Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured. |
