And these are the things I wish I had said - when the opportunity arose... *************************************************** I remember the hurt And I remember the dread I remember the pain from the things that you said Your voice in my ear Your words in my mind Pushing your distaste at me all of the time With nowhere to run And no place to hide There was no way to protect the little light in my life Drank me down like a shot And you swallowed it up whole Wanting to drain me of spirit until the day I was old You said it was for the best And I'd miss you when you're gone That you only did it to ensure that I would be strong Then you called me to your side To ask me for my good-byes To search my face for love and for tears in my eyes But you'd taught me much And I'd learned those lessons well So there were no tears from me as you slid into hell Instead I held my peace As stood there by your bed And I'll dance on your grave once I'm was sure that you're dead If I don't say it...who will? Upon the place beneath; it is twice blessed: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes: 'Tis mightiest in the mightiest... |

I love it. Great write! There are places in the heart that do not yet exist; suffering has to enter in for them to come to be - LeonBloy |
