Sleep brings strange dreams And other thoughts of incomprehension Mixture of darkness and light Colors and sound Things that should never be And things that always will Take these thoughts from my head Don’t be scared, don’t be aware Don’t be alarmed frightened one I don’t want to be king of the world I don’t want to be prince of anything No harm behind my smile I won’t ever do that thing No, I won’t ever say those words That cut you like a knife Such a shame Denial can be such a part of you And this is the time to choose No malice behind my smile What I give, I give to you What I want, you could never do Today is the day I tore my soul out Burned my eyes upon the sight Of my own face Such a shame, The truth behind my smile |
