I jam headphones in my ears. typical teenager... not. I've never been to a dance, I don't wear makeup, the music's not even on, I promise. it's so I don't have to talk. 'cause talking is hard. Just got too tired of acting, pretending it's all okay. "How are you?" I'm smothered by my thoughts, and it's dragging me deeper than I ever wanted to go. "Alright, and you?" Another person fooled, just like he did to us. I'm getting better at it, much better. but fooling myself too. The fence can't be walked forever. When did I stop being a kid? When did life stop being easy? no one told him: suicide is contagious no one told him that someone, somewhere might do the same because of him. Well, what if that person's me? |

"What dreams may come, when we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause." I find this poem a good read. No changes recommended... If one significant other mistreats then try another - wish I had. |
