Something there Enclosing me Stifling my breath Suffocating Choking I’m drowning to death The leaves of trees In the dark of night Spread out To hold me To strangle To kill the light Screaming Trying to shout Trapped inside Let me out I’m paranoid I hear voices Talking about me Talking about Hurting me Killing me Please stop This torture This hell Bring me back To yesterday Before I fell Screaming Trying to shout Trapped inside Let me out Take the words From my burning mouth Change my life Kill my doubt Kill me Let me out |

Nightmares are sometimes daymares in motion. We get tired, we want "out" we want more, we want less of more, we want. We desire, retire admire, abstain, refrain...and then wham it hits us. We're human. |

Nightmares can also be caused by some particularly debilitating toxins, and I don't mean recreational, but the sort that make re-entering a waking state more difficult than is natural... This is a good read, and I look forward to reading more poetry from you at this site. |
