That I created you may well have been my greatest mistake to carry me across the ocean my greatest triumph in spite of its cold empty depths That you created me may well have been your humblest purpose to keep you company outside time your humblest error in spite of being able to stop it Cursed masks shattered. fears cover the ancient muscle that draws the unknowable this way and that And man the demands of his God a sacrifice of praise And I sit back and paint the canvas left behind by so many years of grave rational depression. Life's short. Think hard! |

"fears cover the ancient muscle that draws the unknowable this way and that" Your writing keeps getting better and better. Those lines are just fantastic! |

I enjoyed your poem as well. The way you set up your poems is interesting visually and uniquely creative. I love the lines Jennifer mentions, as well as the powerful ending: And I sit back and paint the canvas left behind by so many years of grave rational depression. Thanks for sharing, P |
