Beware the Pimp, the man who carries his women in a black valise, along with his lunch. Beware the Poet, the man who spends words instead of money, and refuses the Call. Beware the Artist, the man who paints life but doesn’t live it; the white spirit and canvas he hides behind is a net which protects and ensnares him while damning his soul. Beware the Female Chauvinist; she, unable to imprint her spirit upon the land, steals Man’s dark side, and kills the soul of Humanity. She, Dis reborn, will perish in fire. Beware the Dealer; his powder covers him like snow in a wood, like a fungus on old bark. It will eat him like a canker. Beware the Abortionist. His words in his own defence are shallow as the pool of blood which is his stock-in-trade. The scalpel will not forgive him. Beware the Paedophile, the man who sells his right to a human face. Lower than the beasts, he is cast out. Beware the Businessman, whose chessboard’s living pieces are a testimony to his guilt. Beware the Fascist of the Left, whose self-esteem is smaller than his brain, yet locked into the ludicrousness of his self-importance, he stands before the mirror and makes love to his own reflection. Pitiful and worthless, he stands on an empty hill, shouting at no-one into nowhere. Above all, Beware MAN, whose heart is black. |
