Involuntary Quickening End of the day. Eyes flicker with halting tiredness. Twilight swallows the sun, Cry of insectoid awakening, Elusive thoughts, misty tendrils, Slip the net of consciousness Nameless tunes of recognition, Lost neath wear of hours. Pounding music, Surrounding roars, Chasing concentration. Beat takes over all. Home. Involuntary relaxation, Throbbing muscles strike, Breathing harsh and steep. Cheeks wet with irrationality. Uncontrollable extremities, Mimic a dragonflying intensity. Quickening of heart. Serenity's past illusion, Vanished. Emotion's desert extremities, Eternally soaring numb. Endless ache of heart and brow, Reveal panic’s rasping cry. Atmospheric drowning, Inhaling air ten fathoms down. Weary, soul-dimming awareness Dread of horizontality Lying back tired weeping Sleep, a mysterious futuristic fantasy Dew-drenched darkness, Dawn's break looming, Alarming boogie crying out, Rising up the dead. Full days and worn out nights, Tide runs full in mangrove creeks. Azure opaque heavens, Shadow endless cycles of change. Gone the draw of dusk-dawn watching, Awake twixt rise and set. Till escape of time from tick. Silent hands of peace. |
