No wisdom that you can find
in a book of devotions
will ever free you of her

After you came to know,
was when the fear left you
and the killing began

They who preyed upon her now meet you,
but they will never repeat
your acquaintance to another soul

For now you have taken theirs
and ripped their open eyes
from the sockets of their skulls

And boiled the meat of their bones
for the dogs in the street,
who deserved a better meal
