Little bird, little bird, you were there yesterday in view of my world down here below but the tree now barren barely can hold the smallest and most delicate frame. Do you worry? No, no, you repeat all your deeds to gain a perspective not known before but me, I’m still here in the same manner, mode, unwilling to see what others believe. I have, you see, my own special tree my own way of looking, my very own views, but I can’t stay there forever, amen, when the ground rises up to overwhelm. So I want to be you unbound by the rules able to go where the wind blows and free to believe there’s something to see in the eyes of a lover not yet in view. There’s a cat in the grass waiting to pounce should you by chance prefer the green/brown but beware, beware, hearts shatter and break when lovers remain in the same manner, mode. Fly away, fly away, I’ll join you one day when love rises up to overwhelm and pulls from the ground an un-evolved “me” into a world of new perspectives! By merely thinking and expressing your thoughts in such a captivating way, you already have gained the ability to soar high, dear Helen. There might always be limiting conditions down here where we are earthbound, but our soul nudges us to be aware of who we really are and invites us to dare and take the leap! Thank you all so much for your lovely comments. Yes, to be as a bird and fly everywhere without a worry or care must be what is promised when lovers unite somewhere in God's given air. And I know I didn't think that until writing it but now I do think it so perhaps if there are "lessons" then they're probably meant first for me.  Helen |
