i miss Cade when the dark shines through my night window. it’s lonely to not show him my poems and listen to his thoughts. i miss Cade at the oddest times when I don’t think that I am thinking of him or anything in particular. friendships don’t end with life. my friendship with him soars over the moon and into the stars. it flies into a world unknown to me but one that shines with a light of those whose love is too great for this world. i miss Cade when I think thoughts at night in the quiet of my home and the dark shines through my night window. i just miss Cade. --- Alison |

Alison, I started to cry when I read this. I cried for you and for me. I miss a dear friend of mine who died of AIDS many years ago. I feel lost without him.. It is so damn hard to lose a friend. hugs, Marti Life is a celebration of awakenings, |

Alison, all I can do is send my love, understanding, and compassion. You wrote so tenderly of your friend Cade who, as you implied, is still with you in spirit. God bless you ~ and him, Linda |

AlisonDearAlison~ This is a lovely write to Cade's memory~ When people we love leave this earthly dwelling, the greatest love we can pay them is to remember them, for they were just too important to forget~ I understand this so well my dear friend~ Big *HUGLETS* to you~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

I haven't been able to access the groups for some time now. Cade was a good man. I'm truly sorry for your loss, Z. Please extend my condolences to the girls. Arana Darkwolf |

Thank you all. Cade will always be a very special part of my life. He never is far from my thoughts - I was truly blessed to know him and love him. This is not one of my better poems in terms of structure, etc - but when it comes to Cade, it's all about heart. I thank you for understanding that and taking the time to get to know a man who is worth knowing and for understanding that the world is emptier without him. With love, Alison |

Dearest Alison, like Gaelyn's Girl, because I too, didn't know who Cade was, read earlier works of your from Passions In Prose and howled my way through about 5 of your writings. The tears are still streaming down my face. I can't think of all the right things to say, but I too know what you mean about structure/heart. When it comes to writing about my children or my horse or my current or past cats and dogs, I too feel it is all about heart - and I also want the reader to understand exactly what was important about them, although now and then I have hidden emotion in complexity when it has been too much to bear. However, your poem was beautiful, nevertheless. I will come back and read it again soon and I will try to be less emotionally-charged so that I can see the poem for itself more clearly. Back again, with my emotions under control. I read your poem again and, in spite of what you said, I think it is a beautiful and a superbly written poem as well as being a touching and sensitive tribute. I know that Cade was reading it even before it was posted, over your shoulder and loving you as you typed. I would give anything to have such a poem written to me after I had died, and is that not the highest praise I could give your most compassionate and beautiful poem? - Owl |

Very, very rarely does a poem hit its message right on the button. You have achieved it here with simplicity and style |
