Saturated The dark over bearing clouds heavy and thick with their moisture, ready to release Embrace the murky sky, prepared to saturate the ground below The beads begin, slowly, unhurried yet full, dripping gently, steadily Increasing stronger, more resilient, as rain plunges from the sky Thick globule tears descent as the falling liquid strengthens its showers Intense, arduous drops sated with their wetness Pounding surfaces beneath, pummelling all within its reach The earth swallowing the downpour with greed and thirst Flooding nature’s floor, sodden, drenched, saturated |

I hope I stand in one of these showers one day, with a partner by my side. |
