The dungeon |

The dungeon called and I walked down; it’s dark within the bowels of time but I can feel the dirt and grime swirl up around my feet. Insidious like a woman’s dream it rose to claim my tender parts and dotted here, there, everywhere the need to be set free. And so I let experience out cleansed through the heart of love and saw it float away, away, into the sky above. There was a time I held it close and cried the tears a woman does for all that was that turned to dust the innocence of love. Gone now it is like happiness when lovers turn and walk away and so I climbed back up again proud of a deed well done. Yet still I know there should be light down in those dungeons of dear time but only two in love can bring the sun into a dungeon. Perhaps tomorrow more dirt, grime, but still there’s hope for rays of sun to bring up from experience a bed of roses four or more. I’m called again, again, to see but dungeons scare me, yes they do, in case, in case, the dirt is back and alone my heart not enough to cleanse the past and bring to light a love that’s made to last! Dear Marge, Sometimes the dungeons aren't our own but through empathy we can think they are - feel they are. I somehow think this one is my own but I can't be 100% certain. Bit of a bother that is. Thanks so much for reading. Hugs Helen |

A great write Helen but try and keep away from those dungeons, the sun is much brighter outdoors. Take care Lindsay |

Thanks, Lindsay. I am certainly enjoying the sun and sky these days because for three years I didn't see them often enough. They're too beautiful to be missed. Helen |

May you always be able to climb out of the dungeon, dear Helen. You are a being of light and love, even on your own, it does not take two to know love, LOVE! You always write such deeply thought provoking pieces, dear philosopher poet! Love and hugs, dear Poetess! Margherita |

Thank you, dear Margherita. Just when I think I've delved enough I'm back at it again. No hope for me I guess. Hugs Helen |
