My first ever attempt at poetry.. be gentle ---- The Battle This battle, I know, I cannot win. I'm abandoning hope, false and true. Your presence now, gives me endless joy, But your taunts with heaven... How wonderful you are... Just out of my reach... Tortures me so. This battle, I know, I'm fighting alone. You ignore my blows, pretending you don't know. Please let me go! Show your flaw! Don't make me love you, you're draining my life! This battle, I know, has but one way out. I have to give up this hopeless fight. You invade my mind, every second of the day, How wonderful you are... The life we could share... Firmly in my arms... I still have my dreams. This battle, please, I do not want to fight. This battle... I cannot walk away... Come to your senses, return my love |
