a loud cry amplified in the ensuing silence dying away to a murmur a whisper, then a hush death humiliating the alive a horror tale narrated by the bloodless lips of an ashen corpse. |

For a short poem, it still hit me as descriptive, especially the last line. I could picture the ashen face and actually scared myself for a second there. |
