Like a glint of light
breaking through the noir of night
you quietly crept across the silent stillness
with slivers of hope

slowly drawing back the black curtains
of yesterdays nightmares

and I became aware

that there is a blank canvas
waiting to be painted
in hues of you and I,

in tones of love and heartbeat sighs;

with a whispered promise
that lasts past the slip of dawn
fading into the reality of a new day
where,

somewhere, over the rainbow
the future arises
splashing onto this masterpiece of a life

that is now brushed
within the colors
of your love.

Donna,

Sometimes I see you in deep colors of oils on a vibrant canvas. Other times, I see you in deliate shades of watercolors. No matter which medium, I see you always as beautiful.
