The bees have landed hungrily on my cheeks, lips, brow, and all to implant the sting of a re-buff deeper than the will can reach to heal the damage done. And time, oh, time, can do so much to keep the fire of pain alive but too it stokes eternal flames like a compensatory bribe for the agony. Love me now or love me not but love me then not in my plot for a gypsy knows to travel far with eyes attuned to different stars. I am a gypsy, yes, ‘tis true, because I move like energy but on the land I’m simply me striving to believe I can live today with what I know. But bees, the bees, they know to sting and return again, again, until all the flowers dropped and dead along the path a gypsy takes. And ‘tis a gypsy’s prophecy that once re-seeded flowers, love, will be trampled by the weight of bees and stings and wagon wheels as life trundles along! Helen / 28 July 2008 |

Oh, gosh, dear Helen! I suddenly feel surrounded by bees and by gypsies and my head is on a spin. "Love me now or love me not". An ultimatum that he won't underestimate, hopefully! Incredible work. Love and hugs. Margherita |

This is so lyrical and softly, poignantly beautiful Helen. |

When I was a child I would wave bees away and say "Begone!" (I've always been a little peculiar.) I don't wave at them anymore, but when one lands on me, I blow gently on them if I can. They leave so much more peacefully if they think it's their idea. This is indeed lyrically and I don't read you often enough. My loss, indeed. Much enjoyed. |

Well, m'dear, you do know that bees really do love honey! In your case, they certainly have a poor way of showing it! Keep trundling along with bee stings and all, and you will one day surely find your nirvana here on earth! Persistence and faith do pay off! And along your journey may all your bee stings be kissed away by love everlasting! Loving hug, Linda |
