* Your gaze * Towards you I walk, my arms outstretched like branches of a tree embarrassed by its wintery nakedness. But your summer gaze lingers on the whole of me, digging deep through all of my defensive layers. You stir me out of slumber and wash a spring tune over me. You say hi to my every cell, without uttering a sound. I respond and move closer dressed in languid buoyancy. Your eyes reflect the colors of all of my seasons at once. I surprise you then as I decide to bloom in the middle of winter, allowing your sun gaze to quickly melt away all the residues of ice that kept my frozen dreams from being realized. * |

Well, my darlin' Dolphina, there you go again showing us the ofttimes unnoticed world around us, as perceived by your seeing eyes ~ and heart. Much love to you and your loved ones for the coming new year! May it be joy-filled! Linda xo |

Beautiful words and picture, Margherita. Flowers like love blossoming in winter can sometimes be out of place but it's the blossoming that's important. Love Helen |

Aww, this is beautiful. A few years ago, I was going on a drive up one of the summits on my brithday which is July 9th. It started to snow and the snow dressed the fireweed and wild rose blossoms. Your poem reminds me of this time. Love, A |
