         Applying for the Age pension

An elderly gentleman went to the Centre Link Office
To see if he was eligible for the old age pension
A young lady then asked to see his drivers license
So that she could verify his age and intention.

Putting his hand in his pocket for his license
He soon realized that he had left it at home
Apologizing profusely, he said, I’ll go home and get it
I’ll be as quick as I can, my mistake to atone.

She surprised him by saying open your shirt
And when he did, showed a chest of curly grey hair
That’s good enough for me, she said with a smile
I can see you are genuine, my judgment was fair.

Arriving home he told his wife what had transpired
His description was quick to gain her attention
Why the heck didn’t you drop down your trousers
And then you would have got a disabled man’s pension.

Yo LindsayP,

Funny.  That's one bad wife.

It's great being on a pension.  I've been there for the last 17 years.

Life is good.

Bobby

I could tell that since I couldn't tell from the title what the subject would be that I was in for a treat--I was right...much needed laughter appreciated

Dear Ida and James, it gives me quite a buzz when other great poets like yourselves

can have a bit of a chuckle and enjoy reading my light hearted poetical jokes.
Thank you kind folks and God bless.
