What Was I Supposed To Do

You must have your reasons
For doing the things you do
By keeping silent for months
Where no one can reach you

I kept trying to keep in touch
What was I supposed to do
As the year was almost over
I am longing to hear from you

Still I have continued to write
It something I needed to do
As the weeks passed on by
I was feeling lost without you

As I remember all we shared
I was hoping you would too
Still I wonder are you aware
How much I am missing you

I've had a really rough day and this poem goes perfect with what I am experiencing. Thanks for putting the emotions in words. I've been having a horrible time with it. Lovely Poem...But very sad.

Hope, this poignantly describes the emotions when relationships are at their most difficult...I hope for you that this person turns a corner, back to you, and things work out well...BTW Great write!

Hope,  I want to say "Don't give up, Hope"
(double meaning?)
I have always used this little saying to get me through to the next level,
"A relationship is like a carton of milk in the fridge,  If it goes bad, throw it out and get a new one,  you can put the bad one back in the fridge as many times as you want, IT WILL STILL BE BAD"

Remember the good times, forget the bad, Look forward to the future and anticipate how good it can be.
