 Artist: Howard Elcock True Love by Linda L. Dowd True love is a force so powerful, It can breathe life in to stone. It can free the shackles from locked hearts, and put pauper upon a throne. True love spawns many miracles, It can cure the vilest ails. It can mend a broken spirit, and lessen one’s travails, True love transforms dark into light, It can light-en a heavy load, It can calm rough, roiling waters and shine sun on shadowed road. True love is safe and comforting, It can quell harsh winds of storm. It can turn despair to hopefulness, and in cold times, keep you warm. True love conquers loneliness, It can brighten all tomorrows. It can turn woes into joyfulness and wash away one’s sorrows. ~ * ~ True love is giving selflessly, It’s the sharing of each soul. It’s the joining of both loving hearts, As two parts become one whole. Love is the unifying force which integrates one’s soul with that of another. ~ Linda L. Well, my friend, let me tell you this. If or when true love comes to me, it will have to be a mighty strong one to unlock this heart of mine. I do like to believe that there is such a thing. I could write a book about loneliness. LOL! |
