I I could marry you
it would be a wicca wedding
in an underground arena that binds us
to our most common theme of Godly roots
where we intertwine in eachoters vine
Most overlook and fail to hear
the big boom chorus that drifts between
your bony shoulders
on any given day
If we added up the mass of leaves
that ever graced or passed between
your wooden soldier stances when winter rips
your clothes off
we could build rainbow mountains
for both the elderly and the impaired
and have them kick up leaves
burdenless, like little chilren again
You are a tonic
for the malaise of the winter gate
that imprisons me
in rubbed out tones of black and grey and
brown and white, like some negative
robbed of colorization of Springs first picture
though you are part of that picture
you escape the malaise by choosing me
to channel through.
If I could marry you
I would get my apples and my nuts for free.

From one tree hugger/lover to another, I know what you mean! I never met a tree I didn't like! They are up-standing and have they reach for the sky and yet have their feet rooted firmly in the ground.

You are quite the poetess, Goddess!
