            Enlightenment (#2)

Enlightenment…
is the late-Autumn moon in a nestling
  cloak of constellations,
reflected by an ‘endless’ mountain lake
(with a gently fallen trim of luminescent
  snow)
in this broad and ancient forest
of shadowy Deep-Time secrets and
   wintry splendor,
that stirs the heart and shakes the
   consciousness,
toward full awareness of Nature’s
immense and fragile magnificence.

And your words do this magnificence justice, dear Bruce.

This is high class poetry.

Just wonderful.

Bruce, I have an appreciation for ~ and an abiding admiration of ~ your "full awareness of Nature’s immense and fragile magnificence." and how you express that awareness so poetically!

Amazing visuals in this one and just from reading it I can tell there is a deep respect for nature and her powers and beauty.  I was able to travel to the valley where the lake was and view the magesty of the mountains in your words.  Excellent and I liked the following the most....

in this broad and ancient forest
of shadowy Deep-Time secrets and
   wintry splendor
