Beyond the reach of touch and sight there lives a love of awesome height that puts to shame my lowly frame and now fragmented brain. So be it; it’s a thing well done for that love is like the fearsome sun that hastens everyone and me to the far away from feel. Too hot and so here in the shade I lie on a bed the mind has made drinking in and savouring this reality of no meaning. So march the days unto the grave but not to say I cannot save the knowing of love’s true intent within a life’s woeful lament. And I lament behind the eyes that once looked forward/back in time and behind a smile of loneliness that once knew happiness. So be it; I’m a maiden fair content to titivate my hair until, until, I suffer more and call to love as once before! Helen / 19 November 2008 |
