Bones doesn’t buy into
this sentimental garbage
about home being
where the heart is.

For Bones,
home is where
the hat is.

Bones has a
black felt fedora,
with a red feather
sticking in its band.

Bobby

Bones had been trained to not listen to his heart's voice, he needed to be tough. So he had other values and I understand that for him home was where he put his hat.

If he had gotten the chance he would have been able to discover that listening to the heart was not "sentimental garbage" but a wonderful means to live life and love. Now he knows, no doubt.

Thank you, dear Bobby.

Love,
Margherita

Thanks Bill,

My youngest son had a hat like that.  He probably still has it, although he hasn't worn it for the last twenty years.

Thanks dear Margherita,

The concept of home is all in the mind, and that's where Bones hat sits, on his head.

Lucky bones!

Thanks Secondhanddreampoet,

Yes, both Bones, and my youngest son were always getting compliments on that hat.  Total strangers would come up to my son, and tell him how much they liked his hat.

I have an old picture of my son from high school.  He’s peering out from a toilet seat, snarling, and wearing that hat.
