the collapse of the ring upon her finger leaves a mark on his aching soul and the shadows of a setting sun lengthen the longing of his pain weeping whets the heart-honed stone like a smithy's edge on heat-bent steel and the cold hardens the hot-iron edge as waters forlorn face the current's stream his thoughts drift like a sun-drenched limb as feelings flirt with a distant shore past his past in a reverie unsought of echos and memories of love-spent times when the touch of her caress like a morning's mist lasted longer than a daisy in the sun's warmth kissed |

"past his past" in a reverie unsought of echos and memories of love-spent times... funny thing Steven, I hadn't read this until after my latest response on my poem of Into Tomorrow's When... Enjoyed your words M |

Love's touch echoes far beyond any other emotion. Especially memorable, when unsought feelings arise and crest across the shores of our undying affection. Tenderly honest. |
