I wish for birds to sit in the tree
outside my window and sing to me,
it's been much too far too long
since I've heard such a happy song.

I wish for God to come sit on the couch
and softly take my hand,
tell me of His love in words
that are easy to understand.

My smell is smoke,
my heart is broke
and I feel like giving in-

I can't stop this feeling
of the past and hurting then.

But one day I will write a book
so all of you can have a look
at my life and where I've been.

Dixie,

Remember the poem of the man who cried out that God had not walked with him because there was only one set of footsteps?  And God said that he was carrying the man and the footsteps where His?  Dixie, maybe God IS sitting on the couch holding your hand.  Maybe you just need to realize that He is and let Him help you.  Kind of funny for me to say as I am not deeply religous, but if He exists, I am sure He is holding your hand, darling.

Write the book.

Love,
Alison

"My smell is smoke,

That gave me the pang in the gut you get when you understand exactly...

hope all is well.

"tell me of His love in words

This piece shows that you are listening and growing in understanding, keeping hope to share what you have learned in the future.  Something I look forward to reading.

I do wish you the best in your life!

Dear Dixie, enjoyed this part my friend, there would be many questions and answer time hey. Would be nice just to know what real true love is and to feel it ourselves as well. Have a wonderful day, try to enjoy.

No, no, no, no, no NO, Dixie, DON'T GIVE IN!

God and all of us are there with you, loving you and caring about you!  When things seem at their worst, think just of this, and it will give you strength.

You can overcome this.  You know it.  We know it.  God knows it.

It is going to be a long, hard road - but look at the long, hard road that you have come already.  Stop looking at what you feel are your failures - and look at what you have achieved.  For a start - we Pipsters ain't stoopid - why do you think we all love you so much and care about what happens to you?  You must have done something good (there's a song with the words "I must have done something good" in it- keep singing it, if you know the words!) for that to have happened, right?  Sit down and think what all those things are (and there are lots of them), but you need to come up with them yourself and not ask what they are.  You need to see them for yourself.  You need to acknowledge them and see yourself as we see you.  When you see what a great person you are (now, don't argue [smiles]), you will be able to "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again" and thus begin to heal and start the upward climb with God and all of us to keep you motivated.

And don't you wonder what wonderful purpose God had for you life when He saved your life in your motor accident?  God needs you to keep on helping the people around you, as only our Dixie can, no matter where you land up.  And no matter where you land up, you will get through it and come out the other side, a wiser and a happier person, with even more friends.

I will be praying very hard for you, especially on 10 December.

Lots and lots and lots of love and hugs
- Owl
