An Eternity of Thoughts Enticing are the eyes that probe the sensations of this soul Grasping at desires that crave the dance of indulgence play Taunting each level of my passion with a mesmerizing stroll Across a shore of shadows within Neptune's sapphire spray Hesitant are the breaths whispering in the breeze of thought Swirling to a tempo of island songs found in twilight delight Margarita courage ushers the words our hearts have sought Bringing them to a dance floor where tides caress the night Sand dune recliners offer their arms for comforting embrace With a map of constellations tracing the journey we will seek Resolutions of propensity linger on lips of palm to palm face As a warmth of intensity rises and reluctance becomes weak An eternity of thoughts swirl in these brief moments of gaze Where glimpses become paths between eyes locked in play A single kiss can unlock boundaries spoken in silent phrase When whispers are chained to the antics of passionate sway Mark Christopher [This message has been edited by Mark Bohannan (10-28-2008 06:18 PM).] |

I wouldn't mind having one of those moments *sigh* lovely and definitely romantic.. The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone. |

Hesitant are the breaths whispering in the breeze of thought Swirling to a tempo of island songs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The breeze does indeed become the wind in the very best way, like an endless swirl of delight. I'm not kiddin' your poetry takes my breath away. I get the feeling of drifting between hot and cool pockets of air, and each is a rush leaving a hush in it's aftermath. You have such a wonderful talent Mark, and a way of taking your readers, "there" |

Mark, it is so seldom I get the chance to pop into PiP's these days, lucky for me that I chose today. A very intricate poem, full of internal rhythm, reminds me of why I enjoyed your writings. Would it be possible to show this to my tutor, I’m almost certain he would appreciate the internal structure? He is doing his Masters, and this is definitely something he would find interesting. Marsha Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds |

I found myself lost in the title alone. "an eternity of thoughts" That had me spinning a bit (and I'd only quibble at the pluralization of thoughts, because...) if you consider that eternity is not in actuality what we have inaccurately re-defined as a very long time, is more accurately, timelessness. Add the singularity of thought, you'd have a moment of NOW and not then, and that, as I know you know, is zen. And then, poof, awarenesss of zen and it all disappears...thwack I realize my take on it is probably not your intention, but I had a zen moment (oooh, just had another one) while reading. grins and hugs Enjoyed |

Sand dune recliners offer their arms for comforting embrace With a map of constellations tracing the journey we will seek Choosing favorite lines is difficult when the whole is so cohesive, but I love the images these evoke. *S* Margarita courage or not, such bravery is worth finding. *S* Beautiful work! |

Marsha - Thank you and you may show it if you wish. Magnus - Awesome is such a great compliment. I do thank you sir. Robert - I am glad you enjoyed the end rhymes. Thank you. Karen - I do so appreciate it when you elaborate and you make a good point. I may have to tell the voices in my head to stop all talking at once then maybe I can enjoy those zen moments of single focus. Thank you dear one. Ruth - As you know, I myself am partial to those sand dune recliners myself. Thank you much for the visit. |
