What more to believe?

Rain like pain creeps in the gap
I thought well fastened, sealed
and this teacher like a monster
frightens complacency.

But no big deal a towel or two
absorbs this minor fall-out
and I am left to then assess
what more I must believe.

I believe that there’s a reason
for my failure to believe
there’s more I must believe
to believe the gap is sealed.

I struggle then through ‘a’ and ‘b’
and numbers one to three
determined like a woman is
to crack the code of pain.

Lo behold, l-o-v-e and I write it down
emotionally and mindfully
but still there’s something missing
and this a search and find
for the numerically challenged
because when I add one plus one
I still come out at one.

It’s like my mind not configured
to believe in the power of one
but now I’ve learnt today, you see,
the more I must believe
is to believe in me
for I am one, the only one,
who will ever be “me”.

I'm OK, you're Ok, but there is power in believing in oneself and you have expressed that well in this piece.

Thanks so much, Janette.  Glad you enjoyed.

AC - Thank you.  We had a heavy rain the other day which managed to find a gap and drip down the inside of my window.  From that comes the belief in "me" and don't ask me how that can be when I myself can't fix it.  I think my brain needs re-wiring or something.
