Forever In Your Heart

At the stroke of midnight,
you will find her there,
walking up the flight of stairs,

It was Halloween night,
October thrity first 1903,
Hudson Hall costume party,

Everyone in town was going,
she had been invited,
by the most popular guy,

Jameson Collingsworth the third,
no one really liked him,
he just had alot of money,

She had never been on a date,
let alone a Halloween Party,
she was still excited to attend,

She had just turned eighteen,
saved up money for the dress,
doing odd jobs here and there,

At seven he arrived,
with flowers in hand,
and a smile on his face,

She was falling for him,
after all, she had never,
been treated like this,

The party was in full swing,
couples laughing, drinking,
not the crowd she was use to,

After a few dances and drinks,
Jameson asked her to come upstairs,
he wanted her to see something,

She hesitated at first,
then agreed to meet him there,
when it was midnight,

time passed quickly,
the clock was ringing,
it was twelve,

She hurried up the stairs,
awaiting something special,
when she arrived,

She found Jameson kissing someone else,
all of Jamesons friends laughed,
she was heartbroken and crying,

She ran out of the bedroom,
as she was running,
her heel got caught,

down the steps she flew,
at the bottom she lay,
with her neck broken intwo,

Every Halloween, you can see her,
when the clock strikes twelve,
going up the stairs,

Looking for something,
that she never had,
never got, and never will,

She is the ghost of Hudson Hall!
and she climbs the stairs,
still....

Yo dear A Romantic Heart,

That's a very sad Halloween story.  You told it very well.  The tombstone is clever.

What a rouge,   They roam among us.  Look around corners before you walk in the dark.
