Another silly old rambling found

Well, today was too hot to go fishing
So, I looked around and found me a tree
I wrote a tune about all I've been missing
and how life seems to be slipping by me.

At night time, I sleep like a baby
I've always dreamed 'neath the sun
My life is spent... sleeping and dreaming
So it aint no wonder I can't get nothing done

I like replaying my life in my mind
I never know how it will end
It's like a video I've had a long time,
that one day I'll have to turn in

But all in all... it's been a good show
Even the bad parts were fun
Kick me if you hear a horn blow
Wake me when my dream is done

Let the critics give all of their revues
A comedy with too many lines
It's been a long rental that's way overdue
Tell God to be kind and rewind

I've lived my life like a yo-yo
Up and down and not knowing which
I finally learned to take life slow
and that it really does no good to b****

I found my center and that's where I'm staying
Just me and the world going 'round
Some folks don't know what I'm saying
They can't tell their axis from a hole in the ground

I like the view from my mind
I like replaying my life in my head
Each time seems longer than last time
and if I see any credit... I'll know that I'm dead

But all in all... it's been a good show
Even the bad parts were fun
Kick me if you hear a horn blow
Wake me when my dream is done

Let the critics give all of their revues
A comedy with too many lines
It's been a long rental,that's way overdue
Tell God to be kind and rewind

"they can't tell their axis from a hole in the ground" (laughing) this appeals to my weird off-the-wall sense of humor in a big way. Weird poem, weird poet. Love a good
laugh.
