.

Each day
Brings fewer leaves
On the trees outside

Those that remain
Are brightly colored
In the last moments
Before they die

There is
An October chill
In the air
Along the shore
No crickets sing

The light fades
To red and then
To deepest blue
As the sun
Goes down

may we too manage to be

"brightly colored
In the last moments
Before (we) die"

fine impressionistic, cascading Autumn imagery!

applause for this 'penning'!

Reminded me of my old Chevy, that just rusted to a real pretty brown and slowly returned itself to the earth.   It was a Chevy  Nova.
