Small changes
in the colour of leaves
indicate, that Summer is ending.
Musical farewells resonate in falling dusk
and a golden sun shines upon my
land, twinkling diamonds in
mirrored creeks.

***

Soft breezes
invite the yellow plumes
of reed, to perform a salsa dance.
Mother nature calls time out: it is autumn's turn,
to prepare the land for harsh winters
and life will retreat in
shelt'ring buds.

***

Autumns mood
is not quite consistent
in style. Its high-spirited nature
is unpredictable and sometimes destructive,
but either way, it shows a beauty,
beyond comprehension,
which I love.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

I love autumn and I love the beauty you conveyed here, dear Titia.

Wonderfully presented too ...

Titia - I don't like seeing the summer leave, but if it leaves as gentle and soft as this poem, then it's got to be ok. Lovely...

Very lovely. The best part for me-reeds performing a salsa dance with Mother Nature calling out time. This part is inspired.
