Mystique

Night has lost her modesty
To the intention of the moon
Illuminating the secrets of billowed black
Velvet waves expose a once concealed fringe
Flooding gold, upon the lids of autumn’s singe
Provoking the pale underbelly of innocence
Night has lost her modesty
Left in moist breath and destiny
Damp upon the grass

"Night has lost her modesty"

What a beautiful line! I wonder if it losses some power when used twice?

Great read though!

Beautiful imagery, and a well developed metaphor. Take a bow, Kathleen.
