Empty Echo emptiness you are quite shrill sound is the echo of the whippoorwill on ground, from limb whatever perch my lonely heart calls still in search for you are gone where did you go the world is black as wings of crow on fettered feathers I had a fall I did not answer you before in call once in a lifetime it was a chance at sigh of breath the true romance now only grey skies call on so bleak damaged wings fly my echo to seek your name on my heart a tender phrase and I shall go searching the rest of my days I need you yes, I need you still is the lonely cry of the whippoorwill "no darkness has ever been deep enough to extinguish my personal knowledge of love" Anne Rice [This message has been edited by 1slick_lady (10-10-2008 12:19 PM).] |

Good grief what a poem for the lonely and longing. Sheesh, hope you have lots of batteries? A well done rhyme this was indeed. I love to hear the lonely cry of the whippoorwill actually. There is very little as loud as complete silence. |

To have loved is to understand. To have lost is to understand more. To know the possibilities of love is to define reality. |
