I learned to cook without a recipe, to get by with what life offered me, to skip a line when some ingredient was just a wistful fantasy, it was that or starve you see I was on my own when I was nine. Last time I bought a woman I thought she was for free; irony, like paradox, is an herb without mercy, ideas of what should become of me never cross my mind; a broken package when I found her I bound her wounds with heartstrings, fragile things, gossamer threads of angels' wings unraveled; why caged birds sing still baffles me, I guess I lack some ethnic gene that could complete me, that would treat me, that could help me understand why my eyes in blindness see forever. ©2008 by icebox |

v. interesting 'write'! "irony, like paradox, is an herb without mercy..." now THAT is an especially grand-fine line! serious applause for this 'penning'! |

Sounds a little sad to me, Icebox. I hope things get better. |

caged birds sing not in spite of bars but because of them hitting that note the high one with vibrato oh there's nothing else quite like that... well. *ahem* That's close. But no cigar. c'mere you |

Icebox...from what I know, you cook well, as for the rest of whatever, I think you're swell. |
