Feeling the greatest contentment of emptiness
not wondering where I am or where I am going,
just that I am...

feeling contentment when I am also feeling emptiness....

Thank you Bill and Ethel. I guess I am feeling "ok" right now because I have nothing to lose in this economy.
Being a substitute or teacher I will have that job and  I have  a very small amount left  on my mortgage and will pay that off in the next 2 months...so that worry is gone. And I don't use credit cards  so I owe only the basic necessities of life and for once in my life I can say I am content with that. I just have to stay healthy now.

Sometimes, I feel that way, Maureen. If only the feeling would last.

Thank you Steven and Rose~~~ I wish for others to have the same feeling of contentment and to be in the same place I am, too. It took a while to get here but it can be done despite many obstacles along the way.

Contentment is underrated by so many, for sure. I am glad you have found it!

Yo dear M,

Good for you hon.  I paid my mortgage off on this little Philly row house about ten years ago.

Your contentment is contagious, dear Maureen. BEING and being aware of being at peace is wonderful.

Beautiful!

Love and hugs.

nakdthoughts, this sounds more like loneliness and its acceptance and that that is how it is, I hope your emptiness turns into fullness of love and happiness my friend. Take care and be well.

Thank you all. I am not lonely. In fact I don't mind the emptiness of the loss of that which once was. I have learned to accept what is and if anything more comes my way, it will be a gift to share.

I wrote a feeling of knowing I can make it through this economy and hard times because I have already done so through much more...
