I thought I'd write of love and passion
On tablets rare by joy divine
Of moonlit nights and soft carresses
When your cheeks lay like satin against mine

I thought I'd write of love's sweet song
That savors soft breaths' cryings
As touches fill with nectars sweet
Soaked by passion's wordless sighings

I thought I'd write of love and all
The awe that comes from playing
Life's sweetest game God gave to man
That keeps our souls from fraying

Alas, my muse stands tall with cautious words and with a shout,
"Write not, my friend, of something you know so little about."

ah, sweet muse

steavenr,

Now this is a poem of love and passion, as I read the words and follow the feelings. Well written, and well versed...

BC,
you are way too kind, but I am not too proud to take an undeserved compliment any day...thank you, sir

Hope,
you are right...I am caught.  I have known love and it has taught me far more than I could ever put down on paper in one  lifetime.  One thing that I have noticed...it never takes itself too seriously.  Thank you for your kind and observant comments.

My first impulse was to say...well, you sure know the words... and if your feet feel the music...then dance man...dance!

Hugs.

I think you write from a true heart.
Enjoyed!
