Angelo’s playing out in the street.
He’s not careful.

There’s a screech of brakes and a thump.
Angelo’s nailed good.

He lays in the street,
an unknowledgeable kid of ten.

He doesn’t know anything
really good about the world, or anything.

He’ll get the best care the nation has to offer,
because he’s a ten-year-old kid with parents.

That’s a very good thing.

Bobby

I hope Angelo had a pleasant hospital stay
and was able to fully recover.

Thanks dear Ida,

Angelo's stay in the hospital was enlightening from a number of view points.

I am glad that Angelo survived to go on to become an adult man - I think the world would have a huge hole if he had not.

Thanks WindWalker,

Having parents is a big advantage if you have to go to the hospital.

I like the dry, compact tone of this one.  Nicely done, no hyperbole, no melodrama.

Angelo may have been unlucky but at least he has his parents to care for him.
