LAST LEAF STANDING Summer days dwindle Frost gathers on limbs, The trees green leaves start to fade The color wheel spins And the bright autumn dawn Turns what the forest has made, Chill breezes blow, Changing green to gold, Crimson, scarlet and red, Leaves abandon the branch Drifting down to the ground. A blanket for its earthly bed, Slowly but surely They give up the fight, Until all of the limbs are bare And the wind does its job, As the trees shed their clothes Till there is just one leaf standing there. William, It's been a long, slow summer in some parts of the world, all now in ready and readying for the even longer sleep of winter... and you brought that home. |

Autumn comes but once a year, and, Though the Seasons change, The spring of our lives will go on forever Thank you for your kind words. Tracey The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |
