The Night Owl and the Exhibitionist

If she exhibits in the dark,
attended by an owl's lament
and an errant mosquito
urgent for entrance into the cool, silken privacy
of the screen porch,
is she wrong to covet the experience
despite the fact
that someone deeper in the house,
up for a glass of water or to relieve himself,
suddenly throws a light switch
illuminating her silhouette
to a neighborly insomniac?
