Lonely Blue Took the love out from under my thumb the needle and the rose left me feeling numb broke the curse that swept over me ever since my heart sank into the sea her love never to be surrounding the pounding inside me Took the diamond cut in neatly in two one for the dreams I lost one for the love of you crashed the ship on a jagged shore lost in translation, will I feel no more she walked out the door long after I forgot what my heart was for Felt the guilt spread the quilt over my composing body now breathe it in cover me in sin getting over the pain just now Sing a pretty song love 'till all hope is lost love 'till I can't feel no more like a cork on the sea, tossed until all I see is the endless, lonely blue and I know now I'll never get over you I'll do what I can do to try until I am finally getting through Felt the hurt kissed the dirt fell out of the lonely blue sky reign over me never over, you see she'll still be the belief in every lie the smile in every tear I cry and in the wounded heart I hide she'll reside until the world dies until the world dies Until my world, and all that's left of me sets sail on the lonely blue sea and dies "Now if I seem to be afraid |
