Oh itchy oh itchy oh itchy oh day The sun has risen and the grass to hay, the allergies are spinning, the hives a’grinnin’, oh itchy oh itchy oh day. The pollens a callin’ the mast cells to play Getty-up itchy up, swellin’ the day The nails are a scratchin’ the skin at its best From morning til eve through sun fall in west. The hives add curves and shadow as may Under the light of the sun dressed day When under inspect, the bulges dismay The allergen victim fallen to hay. Oh itchy oh itchy oh itchy oh day September will pass soon to be... May! Oh itchy oh now, oh itchy of then, Oh relief of the itchies, oh itchy oh when? |

This must surely prove to anyone that a poem can be written on any subject. Sorry you have these allergies but thank you for smiling through them and making us smile along with you |

I absolutely love this! *S* And I can sympathize... if my eyes aren't itching, my nose is running... but they love to team up and make me really miserable. LOL Delightful, whimsically written truth! *s* |

I only itch from these mosquitoes that seem to love to attack me or poison ivy. I feel for anyone who gets hives. You write so well about any subject and with a great sense of humor M |

Oh, it's so good to read you again, dear Misc. I am itching too, but for the reason Maureen has mentioned - the fastidious mosquitos! Now that is unrequited love! I think you just brightened up my day with this humorous lament, because you wrote it so well and ... well I so love the fragrance of hay ... I am sorry of course for those who suffer that allergy, I still remember the first time of my son when he happily ran through the tall grass and suddenly couldn't stop sneezing. Terrible. Love and easy breathing. Margherita |
