Morning comes and she lets in the light, Heavy curtains with dark twirling brocade Keeps out the cold on a winter’s night, As she leaves she leaves doors open Letting the house airs to mingle in. In the afternoon she comes dusting, Shelves and shelves of books of all sorts, Removes a spider’s web mid constructing, Then sweep the floor and she’s gone The room has had its daily cleaning done. The sun recedes leaving the room to shadows As she returns to close the drapes on the windows Again the hearth is cold and unused but prepared Coal waits to make a fire that can be shared. Gloom |

Professor Gloom, I love your words, they speak of a sweet harmony and of the awareness of not being alone, despite the apparent melancholy. Love, Margherita |

it's a shame that time goes by like this I hope she doesn't sit around wasting it much longer and the coal gets used soon |

ah...prof! You make us look hard for hope sometimes, but I think you just revealed the revelation of the potential in even a lump of coal. Coal can do so much, as you well know. It inspired greed to mine hollows into mountains, the particles of that labor gave many men dire death, one coal can warm cold hands through a cold night, a bunch of 'em burned for a couple hundred years, cooking countless meals, can pop holes in the ozone layer-- and occasionally, a lump of coal, left alone, under intense pressure becomes diamond. Very much enjoyed the fuel for thought. Good to see you again lovie. |

I don't see this as gloomy, I think it seems rather pleasant and comforting. Hope I didn't disturb your "gloom" Professor. Ida |
